What makes a short story “Jewish?” What characterizes the work of Jewish authors? We’ll examine a blend of older and contemporary “classics” from authors like Philip Roth, Cynthia Ozick, Nathan Englander, Thane Rosenbaum, Steve Stern, and Elisa Alpert. The stories engage with issues of Jewish identity, historical memory, religious issues, and more. Join us to explore a literary cornucopia filled with surprises and delights.
